Devin Carter became a double FILA Cadet All-American this past weekend. Devin was runner up in Greco and placed 4th in the Freestyle event.

Over the years wrestling has changed from a fill-in sport for football players to one where the serious-minded wrestler trains year-round.

Wrestlers realized that to be the best it took more than a 3 or 4 month commitment to the sport. Wrestling has become a year round sport with training, conditioning and competitions throughout the year. In fact, some of the most prestigious events are summer events such as the National Freestyle Championships in Fargo, North Dakota.

Coach Weber has taken the Christiansburg program to new heights by using the VA Elite Wrestling Club as a training program for the wrestler working to become the best! The Club has grown and has opened its doors to wrestlers from all over the area. Wrestlers from our VA Elite program have become State, Regional and even National Champions.
